Churla Mitchell is a Toronto-based multi-media artist with a particular passion for gardening and crystals.She studied at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and attended George Brown College for Fashion Design. She was a founding member and curator at The Purple Institution, an indie artist run collective that hosted all media from 1986 to 1991. She has also worked as a board member and in a curatorial capacity with The 7a11d performance arts festival. The pandemic sees her isolating with family, cats and dogs, gardening, baking and creating.
